I opened the 1001 Paperclips brand store
A small, good-thing shop for readers and my Substack homies
I like simple things that do their job and don’t demand a login, a tutorial, or my entire afternoon. Same with stuff. A book that hits. A hoodie that becomes your go-too. A candle that changes the vibe in room with its scent.
That’s the idea behind 1001Paperclips.com, a curated store built around the mood we’ve been chasing here: curiosity, craft, and a touch of mischief.
Why a store?
Because the stuff we touch every day nudges how we feel and what we make. Most “lifestyle” shops are loud. I wanted quiet utility with character. Things you’ll use, gift, and keep around. The store is small on purpose. But check back often because I plan to rotate things in and out.
A quick tour of what’s inside
Coffee, books, desk gear, cozy wear, oddball survival. It’s a mix of useful, a little playful, and very “Paperclips.”
Broken Words Coffee (Medium Roast). Slow-burn sweet. Think chocolate-covered almonds, a bit of maple, a whisper of citrus. Twelve ounces, roasted stateside. It sold out right out of the gate which says something about your caffeine needs and our collective taste. Restock is on the way.
Rustic Cast Iron Alphabet Individual Letters
Cozy Unisex Hoodie with a classic catch-phrase.
Field Notes: Pitch Black (2-Pack).
72-Hour Survival Kit. The wildcard pick. Practical, well-built, and very on-brand for the “be ready” folks here. Not everything has to sit on a desk. Some things belong in the trunk.
That mix (useful + a little off-center) is the line I’m walking. You’ll see candles that don’t scream, snacks you’ll actually finish, EDC that earns the pocket, whiskey for slow nights, and a few seasonal surprises. Call it a cabinet of gear I can vouch for, assembled with one rule: you’ll use it.
What makes 1001 Paperclips different?
It’s curated, not crammed. I’m keeping the grid tight so each item has a job. No 15 versions of the same thing. If something enters, it earns its slot. (If something underwhelms, it leaves.)
Honest copy, clear specs. No hype fog. You’ll get the sentence you need and the details to decide. Taste comes through in the edit.
Real scarcity, not fake timers. If something sells out, I’ll say so, restock it if it deserves it, and use your replies to set the order. (Right now: coffee, hoodie, and Field Notes are top of the list.)
How to use the shop
Browse like you’d walk a good small bookstore: follow your eye, pick up what sparks, leave with one or two things you’ll actually use. And it’s gift-friendly. Find something great for the person who doesn’t send a wishlist and but still deserves something thoughtful.
What’s next?
I’ll rotate in new drops, small seasonal bundles, and a few collabs. Think: a focused “writer’s desk” kit, a travel trio, a cold-weather comfort stack. I’ll also keep restocking the hits (starting with coffee, hoodie, notebooks). If there’s something you want me to carry, hit reply and pitch it. The comments have always been where the best ideas show up.
A note on quality & checkout
Everything ships like a normal online order, a clean checkout, the usual payment options, and straightforward follow through. The whole thing is running on Shopify so it stays smooth for you.
Your turn
If you’ve been around here a while, you know I care about the texture of everyday life — the little choices that make the day feel workable. That’s what this shop is for. Come take a look, tell me what you like, and help me shape what lands next.

P.S. If something you want is showing Sold Out, drop a quick comment with the item name. I’ll prioritize restocks based on what you ask for, then announce new inventory here first.
